Services and Amenities

The Parish has few services and amenities but with volunteer help has sufficient to cope with day to day needs with a small shop and post office open in the mornings. There is a social club built on to the side of the Village Hall always willing to accept new members.

The local village school closed some years ago and pupils now travel to Puddletown for first and middle school education and to Dorchester for upper school. There is a school bus service to Puddletown and children attending Hardye’s School in Dorchester use the normal daily bus service.
