For years the hall has provided a perfect space for a variety of events, from concerts and lunches to private hirings such as family celebrations, retirements, weddings, exhibitions, meetings, private dance lessons and much, much more!
The Hall is licensed for the performance of plays and live music. If you would like to sell alcohol then you can apply for a temporary events notice from Purbeck District Council. This is a simple process and inexpensive at about £20. However a temporary events notice is not necessary if you are serving but not selling alcohol.
The main Hall accommodates up to 60 people at tables, seating in rows of up to 100 people, and up to 120 at a dance. Facilities available include the a projection screen, and if wanted a digital projector that connects with a laptop and DVD player. There is a public address and hearing loop system to complete the audio visual capability. A modular stage is available that may be configured in a number of different ways, as a conventional stage, as a catwalk, as three tiers (for choral or similar presentations) etc.
The hall annex contains the modern kitchen facilities and the adjoining Diamond Jubilee Room, which can be used as a reception area for the Main Hall, with a serving hatch from the kitchen, or as a separate conference/meeting room seating 20 people.
There is space for 12 cars in the car park and some temporary parking on the quiet road outside the Hall.
